Key Features
Precision and Reliability
Utilizing dual confocal chromatic measurement technology paired with an absolute optical encoder, the ATP provides sub-micron (< 0.0001”) resolution scan data.
There is no guesswork with the ATP – every feature of a threadform is scanned, including negative flanks and overhanging features (seals).
Compact, Handheld Formfactor
We understand that floor space on a finishing line is limited. The ATP weighs less than 30 lbs., does not require any dedicated floor space, and is operated by a single person.
An optional zero-gravity tool balancing mounting point is available.
Auto-Clamping and Centering
The gauge features a smart, pneumatic clamping and centering mechanism. Sliding the gauge onto a pipe automatically triggers the clamp when the pipe face is detected. The clamping process ensures that the device is centered and aligned with the axis of the pipe.
Once attached to a pipe, the operator is free to release their grip for the duration of the scan cycle.
Simple Two-Button Operation
A scan is started by a push button located by the right gauge handle. Upon completion of the scan, the operator grabs the gauge and presses the release clamp button located by the left gauge handle, at which point the gauge can be removed from the pipe.
Short Cycle Time
A complete measurement cycle, from clamp to unclamp, is performed in less than one minute.
Threadform Dimensional Analysis
The gauge supports analysis of any feature that is measurable with a profile scan: Leads, Thread Height, Wedge Lockup Location, Flank Angles, Root Mismatch (stepped threads), Root-Crest Parallelism, and Chipped Insert Detection.
